  Opinion of the Editor: due to persistent efforts, past and present, 
  by RUSSIAN “experts” upholding RUSSIAN CHAUVINISM aiming to erase 
  UKRAINIAN ETHNICITY are in my view one of the main reasons for the 
  surprising and profound lack of awareness regarding the mythology 
  linked to the name TARAS. Once TARAS appeared in vast numbers of 
  coins which presently populate numismatic collections in every major 
  Museum but … who was TARAS?  is almost never even mentioned. Try a 
  standard mythology dictionary and … if you find a reference, let me 
  know. This fact could not be so without the incompetence and 
  indifference of “western scholars” concerning the history of 
  Ukraine. A fact aggravated that such ignorance translates on that of 
  “Western European” political leaders confronting Mr. PUTIN and the 
  invasion of UKRAINE. On the other hand, Mr. PUTIN was trained by the 
  KGB and he recently published his understanding of history as 
  President of the “All Russians” Federation. He declared that UKRAINE 
  and UKRAINIAN do NOT EXIST. Nonetheless, he felt compelled to 
  mention the name TARAS – why? Because TARAS is a first name that 
  stands for UKRAINIAN ETHNICITY – why? Well, read on …
