Arguably, I think the story of Eros and Psyche underscores the cure of LUST - until he met Psyche, says one myth, Eros suffered from "erotic fever" - the more sex he engaged in, the greater was his never satisfied eroticism. This obsession disappeared and was replaced by tender love after he met Psyche.
