It is likely that the "stump" of this bandaged lower right limb illustrates a congenital malformation of the foot, perhaps due to a plexiform neurofibroma. Such "amputations" are rare among individuals with achondroplasia but do occur among those with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF-1).
