SASANQUA - CAMELLIA
"Sasanqua or Sazanka in Japanese" (see related A | B) (1695-1733 )
Ihei Ito (1695-1733) is credited of having cultivated this variant of the camellia (Camellia. sasanqua). It was propagated for practical reasons. Its leaves are used to make tea and the oil of its sees is used as a lubricant.
Ed: "Poetry is beauty - I find it in words. (Wladimir Wertelecki, M.D.)
The sasanqua is our emblem for page-entries stressing beauty in words.
"Anthos" (flower) and "Anthology" (poetic beauty) underscore these notions.
