"Anna of Jagiellon (Anna Jagiellonka) - 1523-1596" (see details) (see related A) Castle, Warsaw, Poland
Queen of Poland since 1575. Married King Stefan Batory. Remarried - Marcin Kober (1595).
Some sources implied that she "spread" the autosomal dominant mutation impacting many members of the Habsburg dynasty - such is most unlikely, since her life-span was 1523-1596, while Frederich III, who had severe prognathism, preceded her (1459-1519), as did his son Maximillian I (1459-1519), who likewise had prognantism. Another "wrong" is perpetuated by assertions that Maximilian I was the "first" Habsburg affected by this sort of autosomal dominant mutation - Frederich III clearly had this disorder before Maximilian I. Marital infidelity always looms to complicate such stories (see a related entry).
