"Kaiser Maximilian I" (see details) (see related A), 1519 Albrecht Durer (1471-1528) Kunshistorisches Museum, Vienna, Austria

This Kaiser, King, or Emperor Maximilian I is depicted in considerable detail by an artist (A. Durer) known for his adherence to accurate representations. Illustrated are the dysmorphic impacts (altered shapes which collectively I refer to as H+ facies). The H+ phynotype (concurrent sings) singal the effects of a genetic mutation of a single autosomal (not located on a sex chromosome) of high penetrance (those who inherit the gene manifest its effects). Maximilian inherited the mutation form his father. The dysmorphic phynotype (signs of altered morphogenesis or shapes) iinclude the overgrowth of the mandible (jaw) conducive with time to prognathism (protruding large chin) and lower lip and alterations of other cartilage-bone proportions (note the "hump" on the nasal spine at the junction of the nasal bones with nasal cartilages). In other portrets of dozens of H+ facies, the underdevelopment of the malar bone (zygoma or cheek bones) are manifested as a "flat" mid-face. The lower eye lids often are somewhat everted (ectropion) ... 

Note:  the central question of this series of presentation is who was the father of Charlos I or Charles V who manifested H+ to a severe degree - neither his father (son of Maximilian, nor his mother, had H+ facies - Maximillian took charge of the children of Juana - they were not even tought to speak in Spanish.
