Josef Warkany, M.D. is remembered as a founder and first President of the American Teratology Society (dedicated to scientific and clinical investigations to ameliorate and prevent "birth defects" or better put, congenital malformations and developmental disorders of pre-conception and pre-natal origin). In addition, Dr. Warkany was a dedicated artist and his renditions were mostly etchings.
